The ceremony for the unveiling of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 trophy took place at Lahore’s Racecourse Ground. The event saw the presence of the new PCB Chairperson, Mohsin Naqvi, along with representatives from various PSL franchises.
Among those in attendance were the captains of different franchises, including Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Notably, the presence of Sarfaraz Ahmed at the ceremony dispelled rumors surrounding his potential loss of captaincy, as he stood as the sole representative for the Quetta Gladiators franchise.

The ceremony also saw the participation of current Pakistan T20I captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Test captain Shan Masood. Masood, who recently transitioned from Multan Sultans to Karachi Kings, was named the captain for Karachi Kings’ Season 9 following his national appointment.
With senior players such as Babar, Rizwan, Shadab, and Sarfaraz present, their roles extend beyond the field, as they are expected to mentor and guide the younger talents within their respective teams.
