PlayStation State of Play is Scheduled for January 31

PlayStation has announced its first State of Play games showcase event for the year, scheduled to stream on January 31. The 40-minute presentation will include in-depth previews of Shift Up’s action-adventure title, Stellar Blade, and Team Ninja’s action-RPG, Rise of the Ronin, both slated for release on the PS5 this year. This State of Play event will encompass more than 15 games, offering insights into PS5 and PS VR2 titles set to launch in 2024 and beyond. The livestream will be available on PlayStation’s YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok channels, beginning at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT, or 3:30am on Thursday.

PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst mentioned, “The broadcast will be over 40 minutes long and feature guest appearances from some of the most talented minds in gaming.” While specific game details were not disclosed, the extended duration suggests multiple announcements and reveals. Notably, there are rumors of updates on games like Death Stranding 2 and a PlayStation exclusive title called Concorde.

This State of Play follows PlayStation’s previous event in September, which showcased gameplay for titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and provided updates on projects like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Helldivers 2. The upcoming showcase promises to offer more exciting insights into the world of gaming.
